Have a plan!

Make an Emergency Kit:
  • Water (at least a 3 day supply)

  • Non-perishable foods (3 day supply)

  • First-aid kit

  • Battery-powered radio (extra batteries)

  • Flashlight (extra batteries)

  • Prescription medications

  • Copies of important documents such as identification, insurance policies, and bank account records.

  • Reflective survival blankets

  • Dust masks

  • Sturdy gloves

  • Change of clothes

  • Multi-tool

  • Matches and waterproof container

  • Whistle

  • Extra phone chargers

  • For pets: food, water, lead/harness, medications and vaccination records

  • For infants: formula, bottles, diapers, wipes, and rash cream

  • For seniors: copies of medical history and medications being taken, medications, and any necessary medical or mobility device

  • For those with disabilities: know your equipment so emergency workers can know how to best handle it, keep a secondary mobility device such as a walker or cane if needed, extra device batteries, contact list, copies of medications and medical histories
